A graduate of St. John’s University in Queens, New York with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry, Suzanne Schwab, MD, earned her medical degree from State University of New York in Syracuse. She then completed her family medicine residency at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
Dr. Schwab has more than 25 years of experience treating patients of all ages and has extensive experience in outpatient primary care. Certified in advanced cardiac and pediatric advanced life support, she has specific interests in hypertension, diabetes, mental health and minor surgical conditions. Dr. Schwab also has additional training in addiction medicine, endoscopy, minor surgical procedures and orthopaedic injections. Before joining Lexington Medical Center Batesburg-Leesville Primary Care, Dr. Schwab served as a staff physician at The Medical Group of South Florida in Jupiter. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Schwab dedicates herself to the health of her community. She founded the MedMission, the Midlands first free mobile medical clinic, and served as its medical director. In this role, she cared for more than 1,000 patients at four locations and managed 25 mobile medical professionals and 20 volunteers.
Dr. Schwab and the highly skilled staff at Lexington Medical Center Batesburg-Leesville Primary Care provide comprehensive care for the entire family from birth to geriatrics. In addition to well visits and same-day sick appointments, the facility welcomes walk-in appointments, offers on-site X-rays and laboratory services.
